The Green Room

Attached to the Ritz Theater is the Green Room, whose green terrazzo floor Safe Harbors has restored. In its heyday, this was the scene of many wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs, award dinners and birthday parties. It is rumored Frank Sinatra once spent time here with his cronies. The Green room is graced with a mural painted by Albert Nemethy in the 1950's. The mural was painted specifically for the Green Room and remained there until Safe Harbors began renovations on the building. Owned by the Historical Society of Newburgh, it was recently returned from Stewart International Airport, its most recent home, and reinstalled here. The Green room is once again available for your party or function.
